Trouble From the Deep

Ok, I admit the title of this post is a bit contrived but hey, I had to somehow change it around. So, it’s been a good while since the comments about a possible successor to DeepTrouble and DeepTrouble 2. There’s both good and bad news on this subject so lets get the bad news out of the way first. There’s not a lot more to report at this time unfortunately, which is not really what we want to hear. So many other things that have been on the forefront.

The good news however, is that the thought of a DeepTrouble 3 has not been forgotten. It has occupied my mind more lately in the form of what direction to go as far as gameplay etc. And in the middle of all this we again received an email asking about the possibility of a new DeepTrouble and this prompted me to write this post and give you a small update on things.

Based on comments we have received in the past and also comments here on our web site it’s pretty clear that the original DeepTrouble appealed to a lot of players. It allowed for more exploration and a much less linear gameplay than DeepTrouble 2 and these definitely are features we’d like to incorporate into a possible DeepTrouble 3.

So even though it might seem like your comments aren’t achieving much, please don’t hesitate to email us or comment here on what you liked about DeepTrouble in the past and equally important, what you didn’t like. It helps us to get a better idea of what a DeepTrouble 3 should look like.

  1. I did write and post a comment about a week ago, but it hasn’t appeared! Don’t recall exactly what I wrote now except that it’s encouraging to know that the idea of a DT3 still lives!

  2. I never saw that post so it must have been automatically rejected by the spam filter. That should normally not happen but I guess it’s not 100% reliable.

  3. Hello:
DeepTrouble 2 is one of the few games that I always come back to play. Am really looking forward to DeepTrouble 3. Hoping that the development is going smoothly. Best, Bob.
